Generative AI Mailbag

This week’s question: How do I create an AI clone of myself?

Answer: First, let’s explain what an AI clone is. It’s a virtual representation of a person that looks like that person and sounds like that person. You can use these to create videos to post on social media, and many creators are starting to experiment in this area.

There are several tools to do this, including CapCut and one of our longtime favorites D-ID. But the current most common tool to use is HeyGen. You can upload as little as five minutes of video of you speaking and it can clone your movements as well as your voice. Here’s an example from a creator who got more than one million views from her AI clone in one week.
